CONTEST: SPEND NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH A PRIMITIVE EVOLUTION!

Toronto Music Scene has a pair of New Years Eve tickets to the Hideout and a copy of A Primitive Evolution’s debut self-titled EP to give away to one lucky reader who can tell us the name of the infamous A Primitive Evolution mascots. Just email contests@torontomusicscene.ca with your answer and we’ll contact the winner by email on the 30th. Details as follows:

Help Toronto’s homeless on October 14th at the El Mocambo in support of Blankfest Toronto charity concert during this year’s 2010 Indie Week festivities. There are a ton of great bands performing mostly down the metal and rock veins, surely to quench your head-banging thirst.

To quote the press release, admission to the event is a donation of a blanket or winter clothing, or pay what you can monetary donation. All proceeds collected will be donated to Toronto’s Serving Charity.

Check out this awesome brand new video for Tokyo Police Club’s “Wait Up (Boots of Danger).” It features awesome footage of the band as well as cute dogs having a great time. It is directed by Toronto’s super talented Mike Juneau, who has worked with other bands including DD/MM/YYYY.

Tokyo Police Club wants you to donate to the ASPCA at http://tokyopoliceclub.com/ to download this video, and receive both the RAC and DOM remixes of “Wait Up (Boots of Danger).” 100% of each sale will be donated to the ASPCA.

I’m not sure why they didn’t choose a Canadian organization, but it is still a great cause to support.
